When I was a little girl, I got sent to San Pablo, California, to spend some time at my Aunt Arlene and Uncle Wally’s home. Both were excellent cooks, and I remember enjoying the most juicy, flavorful grilled chicken, cooked with love by Uncle Wally, my mom’s brother. A few decades later, I called him to ask what he seasoned his grilled chicken with and I jotted it down. It’s been a Larson family favorite ever since.
My husband has become the chicken grill master at our house and we enjoy the flavors of this spice rub. In fact, every time we serve it to our guests, they rave about how awesome it is. Many of them have told us it’s the best chicken they’ve ever had.
